Important: School Opening

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,

We are currently in the process of completing independent air flow tests for each of the classrooms within our district. Due to the timing of the results, the opening of Phase 2, which was scheduled to begin on September 21, 2020, will be delayed by one week. Phase 2 will now begin on Monday, September 28, 2020. This schedule change does not impact the timing of Phases 3-6 (below).

This one-week delay will allow us to do a thorough review of all test results and make any adjustments that may be needed. The testing is scheduled to be completed by Friday, September 18, 2020 and the District will receive the results the week of September 21st. Results of these tests will be made available to the public.

As stated in the reopening document, filter changes are done by an outside professional HVAC contractor 2x per year and exterior exhaust fans are inspected 2x per year. Each classroom will have a minimum of 3-6 air exchanges per hour.

I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your flexibility and continued support for the safe reopening of school.

Brian Cameron

Superintendent
