Please visit the link below to see what scholarships are currently available.  Check often as scholarships are added frequently.  Please remember that some of our local scholarships can only be viewed by BHS seniors using their school email (belchertownps.org).  If you are a parent of a BHS senior and would like to view any of our local scholarship applications, please ask your student to print the application and/or scholarship information out for you.

To request a transcript and/or a counselor’s letter of recommendation for a scholarship application, click on the link below.  You must be signed into your belchertownps.org account to access this Google form.  The Counseling Office will be notified automatically when a new request form has been submitted.

Please click on the link below for the list of colleges/military branches/trade schools who will be visiting Belchertown High School.  Visits will be held in the Counseling Office.  Seniors who are interested in learning more about these colleges/military branches/trade schools can stop by the Counseling Office the morning of the visit to get a pass.

Application forms for students who are interested in joining Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s Summer High School Volunteer Program are available at the link below. This program is not only for students interested in healthcare but also for students interested in helping their community.  Program information is included with the application forms.

Academy Day

Are you interested in attending the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, or the United States Merchant Marine Academy?   Congressman Richard Neal will be hosting his 2023 Academy Day on Saturday, May 20, at 12 pm, at the Springfield Museums.  The United States Coast Guard Academy, Mass Maritime Academy, Norwich University, and ROTC programs will also be represented.  If you are interested in attending this event you must pre-register.  The Registration Form and other information can be found at the link below.  The deadline to register is May 15th.

Financial Aid Night

The BHS College Information Night for Juniors and Junior parents was held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 6:00 pm in the Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium.  If you were unable to attend this event, please click on the link below to view the PowerPoint Presentation.  If you have any questions, please contact your student’s School Counselor.

Work Permits

Work permits are issued in the Superintendent’s Office at the Belchertown Public Schools Central Office, 14 Maple Street, Belchertown.  The hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The phone number is 323-0423 extension 100.  Please click on the link below for more information.  You must have a job prior to obtaining a work permit.

RMV Documents for Learner’s Permits and Driver’s Licenses

Documents required by the Registry of Motor Vehicles can be obtained by calling or emailing Ms. Drawec, the Administrative Assistant in the School Counseling Office.  She can provide students with the necessary documents that are accepted by the RMV – Official Enrollment Verification Letter and Official Transcript.  You may contact Ms. Drawec by phone at 413-323-9419 extension 5200 or by email at ldrawec@belchertownps.org.  You will need to provide the student’s name, an email address where these documents can be sent, and a phone number in case there are any questions.


NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

New student registrations are now being processed by Mrs. Christina Aponte in the Superintendent’s Office.  Please click on the link below for access to the Student Registration Packet.  If you have any questions, you may contact Mrs. Aponte at 413-323-0423 extension 100.

NEED TRANSCRIPTS?

If you are a graduate of BHS/attended BHS and you need a copy of your transcript, you can either email (preferred) the Administrative Assistant at ldrawec@belchertownps.org or call the BHS School Counseling Office at 413-323-9419 Extension 5200.  

You must provide your name (clearly spelled), your graduation year or years of attendance, the complete address or an email of where you would like your transcript sent, and a telephone number where you can be reached (in case further information is needed).
